Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 April 2026

These Terms govern your use of Orpheus ("the Service"), operated by Multimodal Solutions (Athens, Greece). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Orpheus is a text-to-speech ("TTS") service that synthesizes spoken audio from text you provide, in a set of supported languages and voices. The Service is delivered through our website and API.

2. Your account

3. Subscription, pricing, and billing

4. Digital content — consent to immediate performance

Under Greek and EU consumer protection rules, you may ordinarily withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Because Orpheus delivers digital content that begins performing immediately on purchase, by completing your Day Pass purchase you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for that pass (Art. 3(2)(m) Directive 2011/83/EU; Greek Law 2251/1994 as amended).

If a technical fault on our side prevented you from using a Day Pass you paid for, contact us — we will refund the unusable portion.

5. Your content and rights to generated audio

6. Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but provide the Service "as is" and "as available". Scheduled maintenance, upstream vendor outages, and force majeure events may cause temporary unavailability. No uptime SLA is implied for the Day Pass tier.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Except where non-waivable consumer rights apply, the Service and all generated audio are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. Synthesized voices are machine-generated approximations and may occasionally mispronounce words or produce unexpected output.

9. Limitation of liability

Except for damages that cannot be limited under mandatory law (such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or gross negligence or wilful misconduct), our aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost profits or lost data.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. Unused portions of an active Day Pass are forfeit in case of termination for cause.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece). Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.
